Dysphagia Screening: Model Share

Volunteer speakers Stephanie Winslow, BSN, RN, SCRN, and Rachel Paciorek, BSN, RN, SCRN, Stroke Coordinators from Baystate Medical Center, provide a model share of the dysphagia process for stroke patients. Viewers can learn the hospital’s method for enhancing compliance on the dysphagia metric within Get With The Guidelines – Stroke®.


Intracerebral Hemorrhage (ICH) 2022 Guidelines 

Volunteer speaker Joshua N. Goldstein, MD, PhD. Walks through a short overview of the updated 2022 stroke guidelines.


Interpreting the Results from RACECAT: Does This Apply Here?

Lester Leung, MD, MSc walks through a short video where viewers will learn to:

  • Recognize the role of EMS in identifying patients with severe stroke
  • Understand the advantages and disadvantages of EMS transport strategies
  • Become familiar with results of the RACECAT trial
  • Understand how the RACECAT results may apply or may not apply to your region

 Care of the Patient with Acute Ischemic Stroke: Endovascular/ICU Postinterventional Therapy

Volunteer speaker Linda M. Bresette, DNP, NP-C, SCRN walks through a short video where viewers will learn about the key nursing responsibilities in preprocedural, periprocedural, and postprocedural care in patients undergoing endovascular procedures. 

This talk is based on the 2021 Scientific Statement from the American Heart Association which updated the 2009 Comprehensive Nursing Care Scientific Statement.
