NFL PLAY 60
The American Heart Association and the National Football League (NFL) have teamed up with a goal to get kids physically active and improve their overall health.

Unified for Impact
The American Heart Association’s NFL PLAY 60 initiative is now part of Kids Heart Challenge—bringing together two impactful programs under one school-based umbrella. With Kid’s Heart Challenge reaching over 20,000 schools and a 48-year history in education, this move strengthens our ability to inspire more students to get active, learn heart-healthy habits and support lifesaving research.

NFL PLAY 60 Family Challenge
The NFL PLAY 60 Family Challenge encourages families to get active together for at least 60 minutes a day! Powered by the American Heart Association and the NFL, this fun and flexible program helps build healthy habits at home while inspiring kids and adults to move more, play more and make fitness a family priority.
Hands-Only CPR Education
Through Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge, students and families learn how to save lives with Hands-Only CPR. In just a few simple steps, they discover how to recognize a cardiac emergency, call 911, and take action by pushing hard and fast in the center of the chest. By learning and sharing this lifesaving skill, students become champions for heart health in their schools, homes and communities.

School Grants
The American Heart Association & NFL PLAY 60 Grants are helping schools create more opportunities for students to get active and healthy. These grants support physical activity initiatives—from new equipment and outdoor play spaces to wellness programs that inspire kids to move more during the school day. Schools participating in Kids Heart Challenge or American Heart Challenge and NFL PLAY 60 grants are helping advance our shared mission to build healthier, more active communities.
